Set against the turbulent political landscape of Vietnam between 1945 and 1960, the film follows Lê Hùng, a talented boxer whose life is torn apart by political conflicts and rival factions. Caught between opposing forces, Hùng becomes a target of suspicion, with each side believing he is working for the other. Forced to flee persecution, he struggles to survive while holding on to the things that matter most: family, friendship, and love. Based on the novel by Vũ Hạnh, the film explores one man's fight for dignity and humanity during a period of profound historical upheaval.
